Kershaw County First Steps will help you determine if a FREE developmental screening is necessary.

What happens after the screening?

  • If the screening determines signs of developmental delay(s), KCFS will refer the child to BabyNet for further evaluation and possible early intervention services.
  • Early Intervention services are designed "to enhance the family's capacity to meet the developmental needs of the child."
